When it comes to comfort food, few dishes hits the spot quite like a Monte Cristo Sandwich! This combination of savory and sweet is perfect for satisfying any craving. Paired with a Belgian Tripel, this sandwich is sure to please!

Monte Cristo Sandwich!

Bread (4 Slices)
Cheese (4 Slices)
Deli Meat (4 Slices)
Butter (2 Tablespoons)
Flour (1 Tablespoon)
Milk (1/4 Cup)
Egg (1)
Vegetable Oil (2 Tablespoons)

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Place 4 slices of bread, 4 slices of cheese, and 4 slices of deli meat on a baking sheet.
3. Spread butter on top of each slice of bread.
4. In a small bowl, mix together flour, milk, and egg. Pour this mixture over the sandwiches.
5. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes.
6. Remove from oven, and heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
7. Fry sandwiches in the hot oil until bread is golden brown on both sides.
8. Serve hot and enjoy!
