Tiramisu Excitement Recipe!
– 6 large eggs
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 3 tsp. good-quality vanilla extract
– 2.5 ounces plain or Italian-style biscotti cookies
– 2.5 ounces Italian ladyfinger cookies
– 2/3 cup Marsala wine
– 500 g Mascarpone cheese
– 2/3 cup double cream
– 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
– 2 tbsp. icing sugar
1. Beat together the egg yolks and sugar until the mixture has become pale and fluffy.
2. Add the vanilla extract, Marsala wine, mascarpone cheese and double cream and beat until combined.
3. In a large bowl, whisk the egg whites until light and fluffy.
4. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the egg mixture.
5. Dip each biscotti and ladyfinger cookie in the remaining marsala wine and line the bottom of a dish.
6. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
7. Sprinkle the first layer of tiramisu with cocoa powder.
8. Dip the remaining ladyfingers in the marsala and line them on top of the first layer.
9. Spread the remaining mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
10. Sprinkle the top layer of tiramisu with cocoa powder and sifted icing sugar.
11. Refrigerate overnight and serve.
