Cheap and Easy Chicken Empanadas
Chicken Empanadas are a perfect meal for any family! They are easy and cheap to make and only take a total of 30 minutes. This recipe makes 6 empanadas, but can easily be doubled for a family of 12. The empanadas are packed with flavor and can be served with a side of rice for a complete meal. !
Cheap and Easy Chicken Empanadas!

Ingredients:
6 Tablespoons of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
3 Tablespoons of cold butter
1/4 cup of milk
2 cups of shredded cooked chicken
1/4 cup of finely chopped onion
1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 (4 ounce can of diced mild green chilies, drained)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking powder. Cut in butter until it resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in enough milk to form a soft dough.
3. On a lightly floured surface, knead dough for 10 minutes. Roll out to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut out 3 inch rounds.
4. In a medium bowl, combine chicken, onion, garlic powder, and chilies. Place 2 tablespoons in the center of each round. Moisten edges of dough with water. Fold over and press with a fork to seal.
5. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
