Frosty, Flaky Cinnamon Buns! $12
– 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
– ¼ cup of light brown sugar
– ¼ teaspoon of salt
– ¾ cup of buttermilk
– 2 tablespoons of butter
– 1 ½ teaspoons of active dry yeast
– 2 tablespoons melted butter
– 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
– ¼ cup of granulated white sugar
1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, and salt.
2. Heat the buttermilk and butter until warmed and stir in the dry yeast until creamy.
3. Add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients and knead for about 5 minutes until it forms a ball.
4. Grease a bowl with a teaspoon of butter and place the dough in it. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
5. Flour a surface and roll the dough into a 16-inch square.
6. Brush the melted butter on the dough and sprinkle on the cinnamon and sugar.
7. Roll the dough lengthwise and cut into 12 rolls.
8. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise in a warm place for another hour.
9. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
10. Remove the rolls from the oven and spread cream cheese frosting on top.
