Spaghetti alla Carbonara with Guanciale, Egg and Pecorino Romano!
Ingredients:
-3.5oz of Guanciale
-2 large Eggs
-2 cloves of Garlic
-1 tbsp of Olive Oil
-1 cup of Pecorino Romano Cheese
-4oz of Spaghetti
Instructions:
1. Begin by preparing the spaghetti. Start by bringing 4 quarts of water to a boil in a pot. Next, season the water generously with salt and add the spaghetti to the boiling water. Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the package, typically 7-10 minutes.
2. While the spaghetti is cooking, prepare the guanciale. Start by slicing 3.5oz of guanciale into small cubes. Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a large saute pan and add the guanciale cubes to the pan. Cook the guanciale over medium high heat for about 4-6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Mince the garlic and add it to the pan with the guanciale. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
4. Once the spaghetti is done cooking, reserve about ½ cup of the cooking liquid and drain the spaghetti.
5. Add the spaghetti to the saute pan with the guanciale mixture and toss to combine.
6. Crack two eggs into a separate bowl. Whisk the eggs and add them to the saute pan with the spaghetti. Reduce the heat to low and cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring constantly to combine.
7. Add the pecorino Romano cheese to the pan and mix to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
8. If the spaghetti is a little too dry, add small amounts of the cooking liquid to the pan to help thin out the sauce.
9. Serve the spaghetti alla carbonara with a pinch of freshly cracked black pepper.

A Delicious Italian Affair: The Classic Spaghetti alla Carbonara with Guanciale, Egg, and Pecorino Romano
This classic Italian pasta dish is a simple and savory meal that guarantees satisfaction. The spaghetti alla carbonara is a perfect dish for busy nights when you don’t have much time on your hands. Or, if you are having a dinner party, this pasta is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Featuring the popular guanciale, egg, and pecorino Romano trio, this pasta has a rich and delicious flavor that’s sure to tantalize your senses. Enjoy this meal with a glass of Chianti to appreciate the flavors even more. Why People Love Spaghetti alla Carbonara
Spaghetti alla carbonara has an undeniably delicious flavor profile due to its three key ingredients; guanciale, egg, and pecorino Romano. Guanciale, which is cured pork from the jowl or cheeks of a pig, is traditionally used in carbonara. Depending on preference and availability, you can replace the pork with bacon. The egg gives the sauce its creamy, rich texture. While, the pecorino Romano gives the dish a nice salty kick with a hint of sweetness. It takes about 30 minutes or less to make spaghetti alla carbonara and the ingredients are quite simple. All these factors attract people to enjoying this savory dish.Making Spaghetti alla Carbonara Gluten-Free
There are plenty of creative ways to make traditional dishes gluten-free. In the case of spaghetti alla carbonara, it is easily adjusted so people with a gluten sensitivity can also enjoy the dish. All three key ingredients are naturally gluten-free, so all you need to do is switch out regular wheat pasta for gluten-free. You can find gluten-free pasta made with white rice, brown rice, corn, quinoa and more. Having a gluten sensitivity doesn’t mean you have to miss out on all the deliciousness the regular carbonara has to offer.Converting Spaghetti alla Carbonara to a Vegan Dish
If you prefer a vegan version of carbonara, it can easily be done. As long as you’re comfortable experimenting with ingredients, you can bring the same flavor profile to life. To replace the guanciale and egg, consider adding mashed potatoes and/or avocado. Mash potatoes with a bit of nutritional yeast and an egg-replacer and you can hardly tell the difference. Or, try adding mashed avocado or coconut cream. Diced mushrooms, sautéed peppers, walnuts, and avocado are other excellent options for achieving the same creamy texture that comes from the egg. Conclusion
Spaghetti alla carbonara is a simple and savory meal that can be made in under 30 minutes. With guanciale, egg, and pecorino Romano as its main ingredients, this popular Italian pasta dish has a flavor profile unlike any other. Whether on a busy weeknight or during a family dinner, this pasta dish is sure to please. For the gluten-sensitive and vegan eaters, it is easily adjusted so they can still enjoy its unique flavor.
