Ingredients:
-2 tablespoons vegetable oil
-2 cloves garlic, minced
-1 onion, diced

-1/4 teaspoon sugar
-1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
-1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
-4 ounces rice noodles
-1 cup diced carrots
-1/2 cup snow peas
-3/4 cup sliced mushrooms
-1 pound cooked shrimp, shelled and deveined
-1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
-1 lime, wedged
-Chili peppers, optional
-1/2 cup chopped green onions

Steps:
1. Heat the oil in a large soup pot over medium-high heat.
2. Add the garlic, onion and ginger, and sauté until they are fragrant, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the broth, tamari, sugar, cinnamon, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.
4. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
5. Add the noodles, carrots, and snow peas, and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
6. Add the mushrooms, shrimp, and cilantro, and simmer for an additional 3 minutes.
7. Serve into 4 bowls and add a lime wedge and chili peppers if desired.
8. Garnish with green onions.
